As usual, I end up finalizing something worth posting. I based the design on this room on Miranda's Priestly room, from "The Devil Wears Prada" Movie. Except for the chairs, I modeled everything.

Hi guys!!

It´s been a long time since I´ve posted some work here. Anyway, there´s my last one, rendered with mental ray and max 2009. All the shaders are arch&design materials, and some of them have displacement. It´s really a charm work with Mental Ray proxies, otherwise would be impossible to render those trees. Each one has about 6 million faces and there´s a total of 700 trees in this scene.
Below there are some crops and a wireframe.

I made this scene to study how Mental Ray would deal with a multi million polygon scene in a 32-bit system. Apart from having 300 objects with about 3 or 4 million faces each, I´ve added some displacemet and advanced shaders like parti volume shader, mentral ray physical sky shader for the haze and a daylight system, wich I tweaked a lot. Despite some odd memory errors, I could manage mental ray to render a 5000 pixel image. In photoshop I added a very subtle film grain, cromatic aberrations and some vigneting.
Here are some crops from the highres version and a wireframe screen:

Hi people.
I made this scene based on a Roman Aqueduct. The scene contains hundreds of trees, and the rocks in the aqueduct itself is not diplacement nor bump, they´re actual geometry. The total polycount for this scene is 35 millions. Of course, there´s lots of intanced geometry, which vray handled very well, even with global ilumination. The riverside rocks have displacement to add extra details, the trees were made using onyx tree and the sky for the sunset version was rendered using Terragen. Some retouchings in photoshop. Later, I´ll post another view and daylight versions.
Thanks for viewing!!
